What’s all this?

What’s all this?

I have never wanted to be a blogger.

With that said as clearly and as plainly as possible, I have a vision. And in my vision I go through this process of diagnosis and treatment very openly and transparently. I want anyone and everyone who wants to know what’s happening, to be in the loop and up to date. I don’t want anyone to be stuck wondering. If things are going well and I feel good, I want you to know so you can feel good about it too. If things aren’t going well or if I feel lousy, I want you to know because maybe you’ll have a suggestion that could make it better. That’s the vision.

What I have learned so far is that in spite of my best intentions it’s very difficult to keep everyone or practically anyone up to date. That’s because for about a month the situation has been very dynamic and because so many of the people who want to know what’s happening come from very different and disassociated communities. High school. Rowing. Advertising. Boy Scouts. Neighbors. Family. Unique communities with very little overlap.

And that’s where my wonderful Jigsaw family stepped in. My talented friends Cory, Marty, and Johnny got together and built this nifty blog site for me to use as a centralized location for sharing the latest news and info. If you want to know what’s happening, all you have to do is visit the URL. Check in as often or as infrequently as you like. You’re in control. You don’t have to create an account. You don’t have to remember your password. Want to know the second I post an update? They made it possible for you to subscribe. And you don’t have to look at a bunch of banner ads. The newest info will always be at the top. The oldest info will get pushed to the bottom.

So guess what, effective immediately I’m a blogger. Because cancer changes things.
